Reaseheath continue to show support

13th April 2017

Reaseheath College have supported the foodbank since 2012 and we’ve always been blessed by students helping out with collections both at the supermarket collection days and at the college itself.

In particular the Level 2 Animal Care students have year on year made a commitment to collect as much food as possible to help others. Many learners have in some way or another had contact with food banks, whether it be that family members have used them, they have seen collections in local places or at times their own families have accessed this vital community service.

The idea is just one pack of biscuits, if all 150 learners donated, could make a huge boost has spurred them on to collect and over the past five years, more than 50kgs of food have been donated from the groups of learners, demonstrating their continued commitment year on year.

This final term, after appeals on Facebook and local news. learners are collecting to aid young girls in our community with essential sanitary items.

We’d like to give a massive thank you to all of the students and tutors who have helped us over the years!
