Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.

Christmas Appeal 2017

In the 3 weeks leading up to Christmas 2017 the foodbank will provide over 200 Christmas food parcels (on top of “crisis” parcels) for local individuals and families in crisis. Please consider donating an item from our list below.

Mince pies, various sizes
Selection boxes
Small boxes of chocolates for individuals, large for families
Christmas tinned gammons.
Tins salmon
Crackers ( to pull)
Savoury treats e.g. tubs of cheese biscuit snacks
Small toy suitable for children
Toiletry gift set suitable for young adult

To ensure that gift parcels reach families in time for Christmas we kindly ask that donations reach us by the end of November please. Thank you!

 

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Please note we cannot accept any damaged or out of date food. Also in line with UNICEF guidelines we cannot give out baby formula so are unable to accept this.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks or charities to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
