Donate food

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in the Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious seven-day supply of food.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we currently need.

If you are happy to drop off food donations, please see the table below for locations of our food collection points:

Chapel Mews is NOT currently a drop-off point, and Brine Leas School is no longer accepting donations (other than for Drop-off and Go collections, as advertised on our Facebook page).

Other organisations may be organising drop-off days or weeks; please see our Facebook page for details.

What should I donate?

Without the generosity of all of our supporters we would not be able to provide the support that we do. We are often asked “What do you need at the moment?”, so we have our shopping list here on the website and also make ad hoc requests on Facebook.

Please note that we cannot accept damaged or out of date food, or any item that contains alcohol or bleach.

We always welcome donations, and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks or charities to support their work, particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures that your donations go to help people wherever they are in the UK .

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
