Give Help

Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

AT THE MOMENT ALL OUR ROLES ARE FULFILLED HOWEVER THE ROLES BELOW BECOME AVAILABLE PERIODICALLY.

WAREHOUSE AND FULFILMENT CENTRE VOLUNTEERS

The Processing Team; They help to weigh, sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients.

The Packing Team; The food required for each distribution session is put together, with fresh fruit and veg, bread and eggs being supplied as well, then loaded onto the van for delivery.

The Driving Team

Our drivers are our key to our delivery model. They collect from our donations points and deliver to our storeroom. When the parcels are ready to leave they come and collect them and deliver them  across the CW3 and CW5 areas.

ADMINISTRATION VOLUNTEER

Lots of different administration tasks to cover – from answering the phones and monitoring emails to coordinating the referral agencies who book the food parcels for delivery. We monitor the vouchers booked and let the packing teams know what to get prepared for each session, the vouchers need to be recorded onto the administration systems, donated food needs to be collected and relationships built with the supermarkets and businesses that host collection points for us.

If you are interested in volunteering either email us or complete the Volunteer Application Form and return to [email protected]

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
