Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis.
We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved.
Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
ASSISTANT FOODBANK MANAGER (paid role)
Overview of the role:
The Assistant Foodbank Manager role is a supporting role to the Foodbank Manager, and involves a number of administrative and management responsibilities. These include responsibilities for maintaining volunteer information, managing communication with external parties, stock management, and routine computer based administrative tasks.

THE DRIVING TEAM (volunteer)
Overview of the role:
Our drivers are our key to our delivery model. They collect from our donations points and deliver to our storeroom. When the parcels are ready to leave they come and collect them and deliver them across the CW3 and CW5 areas.

TRUSTEE (Policy Lead – volunteer)
Overview of the role
The Policy Lead Trustee will be responsible for the development and management of policies, ensuring that the Board of Trustees are aware and kept up to date regarding their legal, regulatory, and governance responsibilities.

SECRETARY OF TRUSTEES (volunteer)
Overview of the role:
The Secretary of Trustees is responsible for leading on the administrative duties of the food bank and Board of Trustees. They will ensure that the foodbank’s activities are conducted within legal requirements, and that board meetings are properly administered. The Secretary will also lead on the development and management of policy schedules, ensuring that the Board of Trustees are aware and kept up to date regarding their legal, regulatory, and governance responsibilities.
