Accessing food

Once you have made contact with a referral agency it will contact us on your behalf to advise that you need a food parcel. We will get in touch with you (usually on the same day) to arrange a delivery.

The parcel will then be delivered to you on the next delivery round. We are currently operating deliveries on two days a week: Tuesday and Friday. Most deliveries occur between 11.30am and 2.30pm. There is no collection service now for clients from Market Street; it is a delivery-only service.

“The volunteers at the foodbank were so lovely; they listened to me and made me feel human again. It was the first place I didn’t feel judged.”

We know that crisis can strike anyone, and we also understand how difficult it can be to think about approaching a foodbank. That’s why our volunteers aim to treat everyone who comes in contact with the service with compassion, kindness and a listening ear.

Meeting your needs

You will get seven days’ supply of emergency food. We want to make sure that we give you the right food to meet your needs, so when we call to arrange your delivery we will also ask about any special dietary requirements or allergies, such as halal, vegetarian or gluten-free. If supplies are available we may also be able to offer you household items and toiletries.
